I confess too.

At University, I too smoked my fair share of crack dope (I might even have had the odd dabble since). Like most of the cabinet it seems. Oh quel surprise. So, I just don’t get how anyone can suggest that it should be made more/less illegal. What’s the point? Where are your balls Jacqui - and your criminal record?

My Mum was a big pot smoker. She suffered neither mental issues nor politicians hypocrisy. Cannabis helped her as much as any of the prescription drugs provided to her during the two year period over which she died. She was forced though to smoke it with tobacco, due to the lack of education about, and availability of, perfectly usable alternatives. And she had to put up with variable quality crap stuff, mixed with all manner of who knows what. It certainly did her no good. Good quality dope should be available in pharmacy-like shops, sold by pharmacist-like professionals in small quantities. The same outlets should be the only place it’s possible to buy tobacco, also in small quantities.

Disagree? I’d love to discuss.
