Again?
Yep. After nearly 10 years, with just over three in my second stint, today I handed in my notice and will leave Plusnet at the end of February. Although I’m one of a few long in the tooth Plusnetters to move on recently, it’s certainly nothing sinister. I’ve simply decided that a change is as good as a rest, and an opportunity for an interesting new challenge in a much smaller business than BT is something I found it hard to say no to.

I know it’s not that unusual for random word captchas to be amusing. I’ve seen examples but never had one of my own, until today.

Captcha Fail
I tried to add some more comments but for all the rest what I was offered seemed pretty random. Maybe it’s a special captcha script. If so I might have a go myself
Also, I wonder if I’ll find out why Plusnet Sucks?
Edit: I’m informed it’s definately a random google captcha, but I still don’t know why Plusnet sucks (at least not for this guy).
My football team may be pants, but at least one element of my sporting life is going to plan…

Sorry James
Someone just pointed out this page about me. It’s odd that I don’t ever remember doing this, although it’s certainly my somewhat over egged writing style.
How very bizzarre.

For the last couple of months I’ve been using the Beta version of Spotify, a superb new music platform with a very impressive looking business model and more promise than anything I’ve seen for ages.
What’s great about Spotify, apart from the neat client and simplicity of the service, is that it provides the first compelling alternative I’ve seen to getting your licks via illegal p2p and Usenet downloads. In fact, since having my beta account, I don’t think I’ve downloaded one track from anywhere else.

I get a lot of Spam. Most of it I never see. The other day I was reading a story about the disreputable recruitment agency Huxley Associates, and today, out of the Blue, I got this:

Now, I have a real problem with this sort of unsolicited and crappy mail when it’s sent from real companies based in Manchester. I’m not the only one either.
All I can say is that if I’m ever hiring or looking and these guys are involved, they’ve got no chance of getting past the front door. Huxley Associates are spammers, and that makes them scum. Nuff said.
In my News feed today: “ISPA MEETS WITH SHADOW ARTS MINISTER - ISPA Secretariat met with Shadow Arts Minister Ed Vaizey MP”
For a second I had a vision of a The Rt Hon Vaizey dancing round a bright light bulb and making birds fly across the walls with it’s hands.
In reality though, I think Ed Vaizey would be more properly called a Shadowy Arts Minister, along with the rest of the shadowy Tory cabinet.
